After the Accident
I felt so empty after the accident. I guess I was pretty depressed. I couldn’t walk and I hurt all the time. It was like living in my own personal nightmare except I couldn’t wake up. But that way would never lead to me walking again or running like I used to. I would never be able to chase my grandkids around the house or climb the ladder to fix the gutters. Nothing would ever be the same again, and no amount of insurance money could fix that.
