Systems That Provide Efficiency

My husband refers to me as “Lean and Mean” sometimes.  He really is referring to my job, but I always take it as a complement.  My job is to look at such things as the speed of production times, the amount of wasted materials and identify inefficiencies, as well as looking for areas that seem to need improvement strategies.  I do love my job; it’s a challenge and it also results in the company’s benefit as well as us employees.  That’s when we previewed Mestec’s plant floor manufacturing execution system, it looked to be a way that might be of benefit for all of us.  And old “Lean & Mean” got to see a major jump in our improved efficiency.  I do love my job!
