My brother, David, has always been really interested in property development and real estate. He’s a smart business man and also very handy around the home, and has always enjoyed taking on renovation projects, even from a young age when he would sneak out into Dad’s shed and hammer small pieces of wood together. Last week, David took his first serious step in the business by buying a rundown block of arizona apartments, with his business partner. I teach junior high math at an all boys school, and I have this amazing idea for a new lesson. I actually got it from my son, who one night was trying to explain to me how his magic cards work. Since those skills are things that I strive to teach my students, I think that I’m going to start writing a series of lessons revolving around the game. I have decided to open a part time business. I plan on making birthday gift baskets and selling them at local businesses. What I plan to do is make up two or three samples and then I will take them around to local businesses that employ mostly men.
