Which is Better- The Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, or Pharmaceutical Replacement Therapy? Only You Can Decide

Women who are contemplating hormone replacement therapy should look at both types of therapy and discuss with their doctors what would be best for them. There is the choice of pharmaceutical hormone replacement therapy where a woman can get a prescription, go to the pharmacy and follow generic directions of how to take it. It can be effective, but have some side effects. A woman has another choice of meeting with a compound pharmacist to discuss Bioidentical Hormone therapy which may include doing a hormone-panel and match a drug for her that is closely related to her own hormones. That type will have less side effects, but requires a lot more testing and counseling to make sure she is receiving the correct dosage. Women may choose to try one and then if not happy with the results, try the other.
