Blackout Cellular Shades Are Everywhere
In the past 40 years we hadn’t really seen a major improvement on the old fashioned shutters and blinds concept. There have been changes in materials used, but the basic design was the same across the board. When the Blackout Cellular Shades came out they changed all the rules. Although they do open and close the same, the blades are all fused together to block out all light. Some are open and transparent, changing the color of the light coming into the windows, but many of the blackout ones are opaque and effectively block all light from entering like curtains only more effective.
