I loved to go to My Grandparents when I was a Child

My grandparents owned a farm in Virginia. They had fields of corn that they produced and I always enjoyed going for visits to see how tall the plants had grown. The corn stocks seemed like they were giant back then. When I looked up at them I thought they could almost touch the sky. My grandpa said that growing corn is a way of thanking the Earth for her bounty. He said that it was like a reward that that we got for taken care of our section of the world. I always knew that Jack from the “bean stock” never had anything on my grandparents.
