Opening Separate Checking Accounts
About a year ago, I was attempting to open a new bank account so that I could have a small account for personal spending and a large account for paying my bills on the Internet. When I got declined for the account, I was shocked. I decided to get an absolutely free credit report to investigate why my credit worthiness appeared lower than usual. I learned that someone had used my name and social security number in a large business scheme. It took me nearly three and a half months to get the information corrected. I am going back to the bank next week and hope to be able to open my new account without a problem.
