The Decorative Side of Bird Cages
When I think of bird cages, decorating is not the first word that leaps to mind. However, my friend Elena tells me that is because I need to expand my horizons. Elena’s view of what is beautiful is very different and interesting. For instance, one corner of her large living room is taken up with bird cages. She has arranged a gold parrot cage as the centerpiece of the arrangement, and surrounded it with hanging or sitting cages of various sizes and shapes. The affect is dazzling. One of the most interesting things about the decor is that she has never owned a bird and never will.
