Unplugging With My Boys
I’m trying to get my boys to unplug. They’re into all of these video games and their cell phones and gadgets and extreme sports and loud music. So we’re going camping. No notebook computers. Cell phones off except to check messages twice a day and in case of emergency. Just a cabin tent, some sleeping bags, a cooler and our fishing poles.
We haven’t camped together since they were little guys, so I’m really looking forward to it. Nothing relaxes or cleanses the body, mind and soul as much as time spent outdoors. Nice meteor showers coming up too, so that ought to be pretty spectacular out in the country where there’s less light.
