Making homemade dog food is easier than you think
The first time I told my mom I could just make dog food instead, she looked at me like I was crazy. After all, “human food” is preached as being bad for dogs, but I didn’t think it could be any worse than the food Spot was already eating. I spent hours researching what dogs should and shouldn’t eat, and really, it turned out to be a lot easier than I thought it would be. I started buying meat in bulk, cooking large amounts of rice and veggies at once, and then freezing the combinations in single serving baggies to be reheated later. In the end, I knew exactly what he was getting to eat, saved a ton of money, and didn’t really add much work to my schedule.
