The Development of Acupuncture Schools

The establishment of Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) and the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) in 1982 has brought the development and the growing number of acupuncture schools all over. Currently, according to some sources, there are 50 schools being accredited or are candidates for accreditation by ACAOM. These schools are proven to be offering high-quality education from programs or courses it offer to thousands of students around the world. Their high quality education simply was able to meet the strict standards of accreditation set by the commissions presented earlier. These schools will necessarily have their programs and courses accredited as well as part of the accreditation process.
