Don’t Keep Up With the Jones’

It is great to have a nice house, nice car, the top clothes, awesome computer, etc. But can we really afford it? I find it is difficult for me to remember that I don’t need to have all this stuff to be happy. If I don’t keep up with the Jones’ I will most likely be much happier in the long run if I am always trying to keep up with them. If I am desperate for a new car that is better than theirs what will happen when two year down the road they upgrade their car again? Suddenly, I am looking at the latest model as being the only sensible car to drive. what I have is what I have. I have to close my eyes to the haves of others to really appreciate what I have and continue to live within my means.
